He is a collaborative leader with a PhD in pharmacology, an MBA, and over 15 years of experience designing, developing, and managing multidisciplinary studies and programmes of work to bring small and large molecules, medical devices, functional foods, and supplements to the clinic and commercialization to advance business growth. His contributions to drug discovery and consumer products span from early discovery to preclinical (in vitro, in vivo, in silico) screening, lead selection and optimization, PK, PD, toxicology, and the implementation of clinical biomarkers and functional endpoints in clinical trials.

 

He has built partnerships through working with a wide range of pharmaceutical, biotechnology companies, academia, and start-ups. With an entrepreneurial mindset, and utilizing these partnerships, he has created new capabilities to accelerate innovation along every step of the product life-cycle. Having held leadership roles in contract scientific research organizations focused on research and development of consumer products, he has led teams of researchers from various disciplines for the last 8 years in companies that are part of the Fortune 500 ranking.

 

As a key opinion leader in pharmacology and neuroscience, with broader multidisciplinary expertise in gene and cell therapy, oncology, inflammation, and immunology, he is part of expert consultation networks.

He has a strong track record of publications (90+) and funding within neuroscience, inflammation, immunology, oncology, and gene therapy. He is an editorial board member for Drug Development Research, Mediators of Inflammation, and the Journal of Pain Research
